Armor & Weapons:
Deepeeka: This one speaks for itself.(** = Deepeeka
Distributor)
Soul of the Warrior: ** Re-enacting gear made and sold by a
re-enactor, not to mention he is our own Primus Pilus. Sells Deepeeka gear and has a growing list of his own gear.
La Wren's Nest: ** Has mostly Deepeeka gear but does do
some custom gear. Great place to go to get a good tunic or toga.
Find-It Armory: ** Put on the map for making accurate 8mm
and 6mm hamata. Also carries Deepeeka gear.
Armillum: ** A Spanish company that mainly sells
Deepeeka but has some other unique items that they have created.
ARMAE: A French company that has sells a lot of Deepeeka gear but also does
a lot of research for created gear for Deepeeka and other companies.
Armamentaria: ** Re-enacting gear sold by a re-enactor.
He is a distrbutor for Deepeeka. He also is making his own line of gear that some people want that is otherwise hard
to find. Good Quality stuff!
Keltica: ** A small up up coming supplier.
Does have some Deepeeka gear but primarily has there own line of gear. Good for civilian shoes and early republican
sheild boss and wood spine!
Imperium Ancient Armory: ** A re-enactor selling re-anctment gear.
Primarly a distrubtor of Deepeeka gear but does have a few unique items such as a custom made Kalkarise Segmentata, and
a Newstead Segmentata.
Terry Nix Collection: ** As a lot of unique items for the
collectors or unique impressions such as moasic gladiator helmets, and officer helmets.
Hans's Being Field: A German company that does a lot of work and has some
spectacular work! Not sure if he will ship to the US though. The site is in German.
Replik: A place to go for good craftsmanship in weapons, and personal items.
Custom Armor and Blades:
Manning Imperial: A very good place to go for weapons Roman or barbarian.
Can make a good custom helmet, just be a little specfic some of there pics are a little old.
Albion: Makes great swords that can be sharpened, and battle ready. No scabbards though.
Shields:
Soul of the Warrior: ** Will make parma sheilds to order. Will also build custom Augustian scutum.
Manning Imperial: Their Imperial scutum is first rate, it even comes leather covered. Has a good selection of scuta umbos as well.
Might even do Republican scuta if asked.
Armamentaria: ** Sells Deepeeka sheilds but also has a growing line of his own sheilds, primarily auxilary
sheilds though
Keltica: ** Accurate shield umbos for Roman Republic
& Imperial, Celtic sheilds.
Rudis: Accurate shield umbos for Roman Republic & Imperial period, Celtic and Germanic shields as well.
Belt Parts:
La Wren's Nest: ** Sells mostly deepeeka plates but and a few of there own.
Clang Armory: Has a nice selection of plates, terminals, and apron studs. You can even choose between brass, bronze, and nickel
silver.
Raymond's Quiet Press: Has a couple plates, apron studs, and terminals. Also has plates with buckles, and pugio frogs.
Armamentaria: ** Has some very nice belt components, mostly late roman but has several from each era.
Replik: Some some very nice plate plates that you will not see any where else.
HR-Replikate: Has a nice selection of plates, apron studs, and terminals.
Footwear:
Saddler's Den: A company in the United Kingdom. They work on shield covers, bottels, caligae, and most leather
projects. Really good craftsmanship.
RIGOREVALI: Has custom made Mainz caligae and Vindolanda "fell" boots.
Sarah Juniper: A company in the United Kingdom that offers several different styles of Roman footwear.
Keltica: Great place to get civilian footwear. It comes as a kit, meaning a peice of leather that you have to sew together
and dye, and is cut to your foot. Also, a distrubutor for DSC authentic hobnails.
Soul of the Warrior: ** Has a good inexpensive in house design caligae and distrubutor for DSC authentic
hobnails.

Makes absolutely the best pair of caligae out there, just one problem. The list to get a pair from him is REALLY long!

Reproduction Jewerly & Household Items:
Venetian Cat Pottery: Does excellent work with good costumer service.
Will also do custom work on request.
Crafty Celts: Has a wide selection of neck and wrist torcs as well
as brooches but are not historically accurate.
Soul of the Warrior: ** Has neck torcs with two and three wires
thick and Lady Flavia has some nice hand made necklaces and bracelets.
Roman Glassmakers: Has very good and historically accurate bowls, cups,
and other glass items!
Ancient oil Lamps: Has great oil lamps for a good price. Be careful
though, they leak.
Bastilippo: Has a nice selection of Roman oil lamps as well as moasics, and head busts. This is a German company so watch
out for the exchange rate.
Fire from Steel: Great place to go and get flint strikers.
HR-Replikate: Has a wide selection of jewerly.
Replik-Online: Very nice peices of jewerly and will even custom design a few of them. Plus a few hard to find belt plates.
Museum Reproductions: Has a huge selection of Roman coins and a few peices
of jewerly. All come aged but can be new on request.
Forum Triani: Has a nice selection of pottery, wax tablets, moasics,
and even wigs for women.
CCAA: A high-end glass company in Germany.
Does great work on anything glass just a little pricey though!
Dorchesters: A United
Kingdom company that sells coins from many eras.
King Tut Shop: Sells sheets of papyrus in many lengths, and color shades.
Also sells a writing kit.
Armamentaria: ** Has a growing line of Roman and Roman influenced jewerly.
Frisus-F Touchable History: wonderfully recreated peices from statues, to pera bags. They are a little pricey and the site is in German.
Leather
& Animal Skins:
Tandy Leather Company: The place to go for all your leather needs. Be it leather, stamps, tools, dyes, and neats
foot oil.
Brettuns Village Leather: The place to go to get good leather for a cheap price.
M & M Horse Hair: Sells horsehair by the pound and in many lengths.
Moscow Hide & Fur: Furs, bones, etc... in all shapes, sizes, and conditions.
Chichester, Inc: Furs, bones, gifts, etc...
Crazy Crow Trading Post: Mostly Native American stuff but has good leather craft stuff with a few furs and feathers.
Take a look at the camp gear section furca stuffers, wooden barrels, and wooden buckets.
Pre-made Clothing and Fabric:
La Wren's Nest: ** Great place to find custom made togas, tunics, subarmalis, and all kinds of
Roman cloaks.
Merchant Adventures: Good source to find ladies dresses, and premade tunics. Will custom make items on request.
Historic Enterprises: Mainly has medieval clothes but the Thorsbjerg trousers will work perfect, and if you want a barbarian look get the
Winingas.
Verna's Knitting Corner: They have naalbinding roman soaks. You have a choice between socks with toe, without toes and heel, and
regular sock style.
Fabric-store: has inexpensive linen all varying different weights.
Miscellaneous:
Panther Primitives: They sell canvas tents that are good and strong. They even have a color opinion for you so that your canvas
tent will be brown instead of white.
Aero Art: A Russian company that makes and paints 54mm miniatures. Excellent Qaulity so the prices is a little high!
PLAYMOBIL: A European company that makes "lego" like figures that include Romans. They have a range of soldiers,
galley ship, an onager, chariots, and even an arena! They have a bigger range of items than what is shown on the website,
so visit a dealer. You will not be disappointed!
Leather Lore: Makes a great leather water bottle as well as cuffs. Will make anything
in leather and great costumer service!
Statue.com: Statues of emperors, romulus & remus, and roman gods.
Please don't let your enthusiasm and excitement let you get ripped off.
There are dozens of places from which you can buy "authentic" and "Roman"
items, only to find out later that they are not authentic at all. Please check with the Centruio or Optio before buying
any finished items from any source not on this list. If you are having something custom-made, always inform your armorer
that the item will be used for historical displays, not SCA combat.
