Walk in the shoes of History!
Welcome to the Scenario and Background Information pages of the
living history immersion event Boudica, Rise of Brittania, the first ever two year scenario hosted by Leg II AVG. On
these pages you will find historic information about the rebellion, information assumed by archeology and epigraphical evidence,
and of course, the actual Scenario being used for the two year event. While much of the information is factual, some
license has been taken in the actual scenario (making several months activities into six days) and it is hoped that will be
forgiven! Wherever possible anything using that we have taken creative license in is marked with an asterick (*).
Looking for the most amazing enviroment in which to learn about
Roman Britain? Join the living archeologists at Castra Lafe, a reconstructed Roman Auxiliary Fortress located in Lafe,
Arkansas. All attendess must participate (there are no spectators at an immersion event!) Many impressions are
available, from Civillian merchant, to Auxiliary trooper, to Roman Soldier, and even a few Celtic "barbarians" that will have
a chance to show the Roman Army why they should be free.

WHAT is this FULL IMMERSION HISTORY event that we talk
about??? Well, first, our unit is Legio II Augusta. We recreate the Imperial Second Legion. Weare a
member unit of the The Imperial Southern Provisional Army -- The ISPA is a loose organization of Roman Reenactors, Legions, Gladiators, Citizens, Auxilia, and Enemies of Rome in the
Southeastern United States. Its stated purpose is to facilitate cooperation and growth between its member units. ISPA units
Sponsor several events annually including Castra Romana in South Carolina, Memorial Day Timeline in Georgia, and Lafe Encampment
in Arkansas as well as planning other events year to year. Lafe is THE immersion event for the Iron Age World!
Lafe AD43
The Lafe event is an Iron Age "tactical" and 24 hour
Living History "immersion" event that LEG II puts on each year with assistance from our Brother Legions, a number of
Auxiliary Units, and Celtic Reenactors from all over the hemisphere. It is fast becoming the Roman event in North America
and each year draws more reenactors from each side. A reconstructed Roman Auxiliary fort on the site, Celtic farmstead
and encampment, and Vicus village for merchants and civilians, with more added each and every year! If you have an interest
in Iron Age reenacting, and want to take a step, contact us! We have extra gear for new folks, new unit recruits, and
even civilians that want to be a part of the event. There are no spectators. You cross the footbridge bridge,
and enter Britainnia in character, persona, costume and attitude. AD60. And the natives are restless...
