Ancient Rome's military was highly advanced for its time, divided into multiple units to maximize efficiency and power. One such unit
was the
immune class. By definition, the immunes were
legionary soldiers who possessed specialized skills, qualifying them to perform duties atypical of a Roman soldier.
[1] Immunes’ expertise in their respective fields allowed them to be exempt from the more tedious and dangerous tasks
other soldiers were required to do, such as ditch digging and rampart patrol.
For Castra Lafe we will have several immunes:
Custos Ballistaria: Chief of Artillery (Geoge Metz) will be responsible for all artillery actions
to include verifying the safety of engines brought, observing the crews for safety issues, and keeping ammo and engines in
proper working order.

Chief of Engineering (Caius Fabius) will liason with the event staff to insure that jobs assigned to the
construction crews are done properly as the event hosts wish.
